Experience Norway's most distinctive stave church only 20 minutes from the hotel.

Every year, many of our guests make the trip to Borgund Stave Church.

A 20 minute drive will take you to the most distinctive of the Norwegian stave churches.

Stave church and visitor center

Borgund Stavkyrkje was built around the year 1180 and is very well preserved. The church is dedicated to the apostle Andrew.

At the stave church you will find a separate visitor centre, with exhibitions, a café and a souvenir shop.

The stave church and the visitor center open on April 15th, and accept visitors until October 10th.

Historic route close by

Close to the stave church is Vindhellavegen, the most beautiful part of the King’s Road over Filefjell. In 2014, road was awarded the “Vakre Vegers pris” - “The Prize for Beautiful Roads”.

We hope many of our guests will enjoy a trip to Borgund while they are staying with us this summer.
